No llama la atención la variedad de títulos nominados por la ICS, y es que la misma está compuesta nada más y nada menos que por periodistas y profesionales del cine de todo el planeta. Es, en definitiva, uno de los premios más internacionales que pueda haber y por ende ser reconocida con un mérito en si mismo. En ésta edición la película del español Pedro Almodóvar, Dolor y gloria, se alzó con el prestigioso galardó a mejor película. ¡Bravo!
Además de la mencionada cinta española, en el TOP 25 de lo mejor de 2019 figuran otras producciones de Iberoamérica: en el puesto 7 figura la portuguesa Vitalina Varela de Pedro Costa, en el puesto 17 la guatemalteca La llorona de Jayro Bustamante y en el puesto 19 la argentina La flor de Mariano Llinás.
Cabe destacar que en la pasada edición la mejor película había sido nada más y nada menos que otra cinta de la región: la argentina Zama de Lucrecia Martel. ¡Viva el cine!
